PC Orioles Night at Camden Yards

Annual Membership Meeting / 10 Year Celebration at Brown Advisory
The Board of Directors and PC members allocated $180,000 raised this past year to Pratt Library programs, services and initiatives for children and teens.

Mayor’s Spring Cleanup at Patterson Park Library
Members joined the Mayor and other community leaders to clean up the green areas around the Patterson Park Branch Library.

Trivia Night at the Baltimore Visitor’s Center
The 6th Annual Pratt Contemporaries Trivia Night was another sold out event. Great prizes and a fun time by all. Thank you to Bert Goodall from Team Trivia for leading the Trivia and to the Baltimore Visitor’s Center for hosting. Proceeds benefit the library’s children and teen literacy programs.

PC Leaders and Pratt Insiders Eat, Drink, Read at Clavel
Leaders of the Pratt Contemporaries joined the debut event of the Pratt Insiders for a special Eat, Drink, Read event at Clavel. Guests tasted mezcal and learned the story of this hotspot, Owner, and Chef.

Many new (and old) members gathered at R House, a new addition to Remington.

Black & White Party at Central Library
The theme of the 2016 Black and White Party was Alice in Wonderland. The Queen of Hearts kept watch over the fantastical Main hall of the Central Library. The event raised $190,000 for child and teen literacy services at the Pratt Library.

Member Holiday Party at the Elephant
Members gathered to celebrate the holidays at the newly opened Elephant Restaurant in Mt. Vernon. Some members went to the Crown to dance and make out.

The second annual Bingo night hosted by Adam May was another success.

YogaWorks led members and yogi guests in an all-levels vinyasa class, followed by a happy hours with boozy juice cocktails made with Gundalow Juice.

The Pratt Contemporaries experienced an exciting evening at Baltimore’s American Visionary Art Museum. We toured the exhibit Shock and Awe with its artist, Matt Sesow, enjoyed happy hour and food at Encantada, AVAM’s restaurant, and revealed the theme of the 2017 Black and White Party.

CANTON BAR CRAWL
Pratt Contemporaries members and guests enjoyed a fun afternoon during a bar crawl in Baltimore’s historic Canton Square. The crawl started in the Pratt Library’s oldest branch, Canton Branch, followed by El Bufalo, Looney’s, Plug Ugly’s, and Claddagh Pub’s.

Eat Drink Read Mt Vernon Marketplace
Members of the Pratt Contemporaries and guests enjoyed great food a fun night at one of Mt. Vernon’s newest and hottest food destinations, Mt. Vernon Marketplace. Vendors provided a free tasting for everyone and shared their favorite book.

Happy Hour Tour of the Central Library’s Special Collections
Members and guests of the Pratt Contemporaries enjoyed a rare tour of the Central Library’s special collections. Items included a lock of Edgar Allan Poe’s hair, 18th century maps and walk down to the lower stacks of the library. Food provided by Kona Grill.

2016 Black & White Party
The theme of the 2016 Black and White Party was William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was a garden party in the middle of the winter in the beautiful Main hall of the Central Library. Guests danced the night away under a blanket of lights and lush greenery by Flowers and Fancies, Revolution Event Design, and Union3 Events. Food and drinks from Copper Kitchen, Blackwater Distilling, The Brewer’s Art and Baltimore Whiskey Company. The event raised $150,000 for child and teen literacy services at the Pratt Library.
